Things people ask us

What do you charge?

Standard labor is $210 an hour for regular service. Emergency, after-hours and holiday work is $285 an hour. Travel is $4.00 a mile. We ask for a one-hour deposit to get you on the schedule, and it comes off your final bill. Service calls carry a two-hour minimum, and mileage is figured when the job is done.

When are you open?

The office is open 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM for scheduling and billing questions. Technicians are in the field 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Anything before 8 or after 6 is after-hours and billed at the higher rate.

What counts as an emergency?

If the unit is down and it can't wait for the next open slot, that's an emergency. We move you to the front and bill at $285 an hour.

What generators do you work on?

Mobile and stationary units from 5 kW to 1 MW, diesel and gaseous. We have plenty of hours on Kohler, Cummins/Onan, Caterpillar, Olympian, Multiquip, Atlas Copco, Wacker Neuson and others. We work on most makes, though we won't claim factory-level service on every brand.

How far will you travel?

Anywhere in New Mexico.

How far out should I book?

For routine maintenance and non-urgent repairs, plan on 2–3 weeks. Emergencies are handled as they come in.

Do you do load bank testing?

Yes. We test portable and stationary units and give you the written results for compliance or insurance.

Do you sell generators?

Yes. New Kohler and Wildcat units, good used ones, short-term rentals, plus transfer switches and Alliant Power fuel system and engine parts. See the Sales page for what's on the lot.
